Wiggle Fest Slow Ride

Everybody loves the wiggle and wants it to be better to walk and bike on so this April were riding to Wiggle Fest! Along the way we will be enjoying many of the great parks and slow streets the east side has to offer. Come along and enjoy the (hopefully) great weather. Don't forget to also enjoy the opening of the new park on the 12th as well!!
We will be riding slow as usual, meeting new people, seeing new places and just trying to relax and build community.

From there we head east into the Bayview before wiggling north along streets paralleling 3rd St, then take Mendell to Cargo Way. Next we will head over to Heron's Head Park to enjoy the great view of the bay and stop for a bit. Onto the final leg of the journey we take Cargo Way to Illinois then west along Cesar Chavez all the way into the Mission. Then north on Shotwell to 17th, across to Sanchez before finally heading north all the way to Duboce Park and the Wiggle Fest celebration.

Considering The Weather
We'll ride this event rain or shine. If the forecast is calling for severe weather that we think may lead to unsafe conditions then we'll cancel. We'll try our best to cancel 72 hours in advance based on the forecast but of course we may cancel with shorter notice in the event of unsafe conditions. In the event of rain, please remember:
- Go slower and remember it will take a further distance to come to a complete stop. You do not have the same braking traction in the rain.
- Give other riders and road users extra space.
- Bring rain gear! Riding in the rain can be a lot of fun. Installing fenders on your bike can help as can wearing waterproof footwear, rain pants, rain jacket or rain cape, and even weatherproof gloves and socks!
